Full Moon in Pisces
Tune Into the Music of Life … and Dance!
25th August 2018
After a long period of adjustment and integration, recent lunar cycles have offered some energetic rest and restoration, inviting us to surrender to the flow, to start creating sustainable growth, and to anchor our new values and ideals into our lives. From that space, the New Moon and Solar Eclipse on August 11th invited us to go beyond the social conditioning that stifles our uniqueness, and to actively nourish and cultivate our own ‘lost’ sense of inner wholeness, presence and personal fulfillment.
Now, as the energy of today’s Full Moon in Pisces takes shape, we are invited to honour the growth and maturity we have gained from these stifling experiences, find guidance toward fulfillment from our sensory and intuitive perception, and create space for a new and creative cycle in our evolution to begin! This is a time to tune into the music of life’s flow, find your rhythm, and start dancing! You may not know the steps at first, but – trust yourself – you will surely feel them as they arrive.
Let’s look at the energy patterns that are reflecting our evolution during this current lunar cycle.
The Cutting Edge in Evolution

The energy of Pluto is very influential during today’s Full Moon. In particular, the phasal relationship between Venus and Pluto is one in which we are progressively outgrowing limiting patterns, old contracts, and imbalanced relationships and expectations. Supporting a deeper ongoing evolutionary cycle, this Full Moon will bring liberation to us and open space for us to see potential for new empowered experiences. As a result we will be inclined to cut away of anything that feels lifeless to us and no longer serve our current path, and to actively nourish those lifeless places within us with new experiences and perspectives.
This is a crucial phase in our awareness. We can feel very uncomfortable when we do not know what to do or where we need to be going, as this is something that we cannot navigate with our minds. It is beyond our mental understanding. So, the guidance we need to use and allow ourselves to follow is rooted in our sensory perception, and our intuition. Ask yourself, what do you see as purposeful and how does each moment reflect a sense of purpose within it? After a while we will notice a string of experiences leading to a pathway that can help us know what we are doing and where we are going.
During these cycles of endings, the connection between Venus and the Moon offers us great wisdom; it reminds us that the dynamics and patterns we previously established once had meaning and provided us with nourishment, and as we close the door on the old cycle, to honour the growth and maturity we have gained from these experiences. As you do, you simultaneously hold space for a new door to open and a new cycle in our evolution to begin.
Truth With Purpose

Continuing the theme reflected by the Moon, Venus and Pluto, this alignment reflects to us the need to acknowledge the parts of ourselves in which we no longer see and receive meaning from our bonds and agreements — particularly those that leave us feeling disempowered.
We have all experienced situations in our lives in which we felt helpless and disempowered. These moments (if left unprocessed) become emotional triggers that can leave us frozen in fear, disconnected from our intrinsic power or feeling separate from our life force. But our creative potential only shines through when we are feeling connected and alive with spirit. Allowing life to move through us more fully once more requires us to heal that trauma of disempowerment — our severed connection to the source of our inspiration. If we are to bring integration back to our lives, we need to dive deep into the memories of these situations and uproot the original pain.
Moreover, this Full Moon cycle marks an acknowledgement that our spiritual inspiration and the way we spend our time have to be aligned in order to live our truth and know it has a purpose. We have reached a point in this journey where we can no longer hold the tension of spending time in experiences that are not filled with with vibration of our life-force. Right now it is essential for us nourish our connection to what is individually meaningful for us, by knowing our needs and being able to communicate them — an important layer of empowerment that this lunar cycle brings.
Reshaping and Reframing Our Boundaries

The Earth trine (Taurus/Virgo/Capricorn) gives us a helping hand in working with the deeply transformative energies that are presented during this Full Moon cycle, reflecting the process of reframing and redefining our boundaries. In particular, this Earth trine will support our process of knowing where we wish to invest our time and energy.
In the previous paradigm of human expression, we have had to conform to expectations on our time that never truly nourished feelings of fulfillment — particularly in our “work”. As a result, most of us never grew into roles that allowed us to fulfill our creative potential because we had to align ourselves with activities that did not have our individual needs at heart, only the needs of outside authorities in our society who determine where our energy is spent and how it is rewarded. In essence, each of us has surrendered our time to meet the needs of others, but these needs never nourished us back entirely. This also brought about a condition in which we never entirely knew what those needs were in the first place!
But now, as the energies of the current evolutionary cycle begin to focus inwardly, we will notice that our paradigm’s failure to satisfy our spiritual needs has brought about a crisis in awareness. What once supported us or provided us with a sense of meaning has now changed. The Earth trine helps us understand and ground this realization, by showing us that we are not alone in this, but in fact are all busy reshaping and reframing our definitions, expectations and boundaries, and interacting with others whose expectations and boundaries are also being reshaped.
The Full Moon’s Message: Tune Into the Music … and Dance!
The Earth beneath our feet and the structures around us, although seemingly solid, are actually in constant motion. Every aspect of our physical reality is constantly moving, shifting and changing — becoming, growing, then dissolving back, to arise again in a new form. We ourselves are constantly changing and growing, as is our relationship to everything around us.
In times of great growth and change, this movement becomes more apparent in our physical reality, and as we currently find ourselves in a cycle of great upheaval and change, many of us have become aware of the movement of the ground beneath us. We are not only seeing our outer reality shift and change but also feeling our inner reality reshape itself. Things we once relied on and took for granted in our lives have been withdrawn (or removed) and things we have valued and desired in our lives are being redefined from within ourselves, leaving us with a sense of uncertainty in the face of our unpredictable future.
But now, we have the opportunity to approach this uncertainty in a new way…
Imagine we are all in a dance with everything and everyone around us, guided by the spirit within us as well as the spirit within everything in our reality. Imagine the choreography of this dance is hidden in the music we are moving to; that we can tune into that music only through our soul as it moves us from within in response to the rhythm. Now imagine being among this great gathering and trying to organise our movement into order and pattern when the dancers cannot hear or feel the music. Imagine the confusion and disarray as everyone bumps into one another, trying to find the steps by looking to those who seem to know what they are doing, but consistently losing their footing.
If you are feeling the movement of everything around and within you, if you are bumping into others and having your toes stepped on, that is an invitation to tune into the music and allow yourself to be moved to the flow; to not only allow yourself to be swept and swirled to the surges of chaos and to settle into the ease and flow as the rhythm slows, but also to hold your frame and express your boundaries as you allow your body to respond to the pulse or impulses you feel.
Amidst all of the changes we are currently experiencing, there is one thing you can know and rely on, beyond what you think, what you see or what others say. We are always guided, we always have the current steps available to us, even if that step is to be still. By shifting your stability and orientation away from your head and into your heart — to what resonates within your being, to the truth that pulsates through your veins and to the spirit that moves you — you will find yourself to be grounded even while in movement, and guided even when you don’t know where you are going. And, if you also express what your heart knows to be true in the moment and create structure and clarity when you feel others bumping into you, you will also reveal to others where your inner sense of self is in relation to them. This is where communicating needs and boundaries is so important — it creates clarity for others to know how to relate and respond in return.
So get dancing! You may not know the steps to the dance but you can surely feel them as they arrive. Trust yourself as life arrives to you. Tune into the music… and dance!
