[vc_row][vc_column][special_heading title=”(b)Journey to the Center of the Self(/b)” subtitle=”” uptitle=”January 14th, 2017″ separator=”yes”][vc_column_text]With the energetic theme for 2017 set in motion by the New Moon in Capricorn (December 29), this week’s Full Moon in Cancer (January 12) marked a huge shift in our emotional reality, which is now noticeably beginning to set in as the new lunar cycle unfolds. The whole year of 2016 was an intense time of emotional purification and, as we venture into 2017, we are beginning to find and create our place in the ‘new world’ taking shape all around us, from this more pure energetic space.
But that doesn’t mean this is an easy process. Indeed, the shift has truly hit the fan! We are on a journey to the center of our individuated sense of self and, right now, we have choices — to either remain stagnant in the duality of lower frequencies, or make decisions that support our universal evolution, even if it means choosing a challenge or jumping into the vast unknown.[/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”Let’s look at the major astrological alignments that are currently reflecting our evolution”][vc_column_text]
Pluto and the Sun in Capricorn Square Jupiter in Libra Square Uranus in Aries
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Setting the backdrop for Thursday’s Full Moon was the huge Cardinal Cross alignment, involving 3 major planetary energies — the outer planets of Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto. Currently, Jupiter in Libra is opposing Uranus in Aries and both are being squared by Pluto, which is conjunct the Sun in Capricorn, and all of the signs involved contributed energetic aspects to Thursday’s Full Moon in Cancer, giving us a very powerful Cardinal Square effect that continues to resonate.
The Square/90 angle reflects friction and tension. From an evolutionary viewpoint, this a place in our awareness where we are forced to make changes in our lives based on the friction and tension we are experiencing. The energy of this kind of alignment can cause us to experience feelings of instability, not having a solid foundation to stand on, causing us to feel intense anxiety and a feeling of losing control. While this might sound like an inherently negative experience, the evolutionary intention of this energy signature is to set the tone for new emotional platforms for us to begin connecting to. Sometimes, this is just the way change works — the most challenging friction and instability drives us toward the most valuable change and growth.
We are building a new reality, and this alignment is just another powerful reflection of the unfolding awakening of humanity. Now, as we move through this Pluto/Sun/Jupiter/Uranus energy pattern, we will start to find new inspirations and ways of living.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Mercury in Sagittarius Trine Uranus in Aries and North Node in Virgo
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The placement of the inner transpersonal planet Mercury in Sagittarius (higher consciousness) is currently reflecting a process of mental de-conditioning. However, Mercury has recently moved from Retrograde into a Direct motion, and whenever we experience Mercury Direct, we tend to approach life with a fresh mind — so this is a good time to pay close attention to the subtle but very empowering flashes of insight, clarity and remembrance that are coming your way.
With Mercury making a trine formation to Uranus in Aries, and also to the North Node in Virgo, we are being given a tremendous opportunities to truly heal the way we interact with our physical reality. The energy of Thursday’s Full Moon and this current lunar cycle are deeply connected our process of de-conditioning and learning to see ourselves in a new way. The planetary aspect of Mercury is helping us to connect to the energy of the Cardinal Cross — with all its friction, tension, inspiration, and instability — and bring its lessons into our conscious minds. As we go through this process of re-wiring how we think and how we see ourselves, our thoughts and our emotional reality again changes and evolves — a process that Saturn in Sagittarius has been driving for the last 2 years.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Mars, Venus and Chiron in Pisces Square Saturn in Sagittarius
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Through this alignment, Saturn in Sagittarius is pushing us to ask the big questions: What truth do we subscribe to? And, as Chiron in Pisces continues to square Saturn, we are collectively challenged to explore what the other outer planets Uranus, Pluto and Neptune reveal to us, and how they are also shaping our times.
The alignment of Saturn square Chiron is currently helping to support our path of self-understanding, and plays a big role in our process of transmuting the emotional body. With both Mars and Venus being in Pisces through the remainder of the lunar cycle (until the New Moon on January 27), our experiences over the coming weeks will further this path of understanding by helping us to learn more about compassion and self-love.
On an evolutionary level, this alignment of Venus, Mars, Chiron and Saturn is helping to set the energetic stage for next month’s solar eclipse in Pisces (February 26), and what we will experience between now and will largely shape what the remainder of 2017 will represent for us. We are closing out and ending established structures, both within and without, and preparing for another evolutionary cycle of change.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Finding our way back home
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The energy of this current lunar cycle is helping to bring us back into alignment with the many deep layers of what it means to be human; to rediscover a deep knowing of who we are. We are evolving into a time in which the whole fabric of reality is being shifted to serve a new time of awareness; the awareness of spirit, the higher planes of existence, and a life that integrates the human ego/self, the higher self, and a sense of personal destiny. The many levels of consciousness that we get to experience is all part of the ride.
As we slowly begin this transition from separation to real integration, we are asked many questions that have never been asked before. The search to know ourselves at the core can become a scary journey, as we may not know how to navigate the darker aspects of our unconscious. But a call to awaken our inner spiritual warrior is on the rise. We are transcending the outdated beliefs our entire society once held true. We are creating awareness and empowerment in areas of our lives that previously left us feeling like victims. We are accelerating humanity’s consciousness, and our understanding of that conscious-ness. The questions we have to ask ourselves are:
Do we see each other as brothers and sisters walking the same path? Can we be the observer, and recognise even in the most difficult of moments that each of us has been handed a series of challenges and shortcomings, and are each doing our best to know ourselves as what we truly are? Will we learn to use compassion and self-acceptance as ways of healing our wounded psyche, and use those qualities to inspire and lead others toward a path of self-created mastery?
We are on a journey to the center of our own individuated Self. Our paths may vary, but our outer experiences only serve as energetic catalysts for our inner spiritual life. Embrace 2017 with courage and inspiration. Learn to love yourself and walk your own path home — and through that, you will inspire others to be brave enough to start their own journey of awakening.
See you on the path!
