Riding the Winds of Change
Today’s Full Moon in Aries reflects an important milestone in our current evolutionary transition. The winds of change are most definitely upon us, and now is a time in which our response to each individual moment we experience will reflect what is left for us to still emotionally integrate and how much of the shift has already occurred within us.
But, unlike other shifts we have recently endured, this Full Moon in Aries brings not a subtle shift but an electric shock; a perceptual upgrade that will change the course of our lives and alter our energetic blueprint in ways our logical minds may (at first) struggle to comprehend.

Let’s look at the astrological alignments accompanying this Full Moon, and how they are affecting our current spiritual evolution…

COMPLETION AND RENEWAL: URANUS-MOON CONJUNCTION IN ARIES AND MARS-PLUTO CONJUNCTION IN CAPRICORN
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The first planetary alignment worth mentioning is the intense tension angle being formed between Uranus/Moon conjunction in Aries and Mars/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn. On their own, both of these frequencies reflect highly explosive tendencies, and together, this alignment will (and possibly already has) brought some deep unresolved emotional baggage to the surface.
The current climate of our human evolution is highly emotional, and the combined frequency of these two planets in aspect is helping not only to bring through (Capricorn/Earth) any unhealthy stagnancy and dis-ease within us to the surface, but to make those feelings erupt (Aries/Fire) from within, in a way that cannot be ignored.
When we respond to this eruption within ourselves, by objectifying and releasing the tensions and blocks that are causing this stagnancy and discomfort, we can then move forward, making choices that honour the emotional work that we each came here to experience.
Alongside the Mars/Pluto – Moon/Uranus aspects, we also have the Moon (conscious emotional awareness) aligned with Uranus in Aries, and Pluto (unresolved emotional awareness) in alignment with Mars in Capricorn. These alignments add fuel to this tension angle, creating a very deep transformative experience — one of completion and renewal.
This cycle will be complete around October 30th, 2016, at which time we will be invigorated by new energies that will drive us forward and help us to pioneer the next phase in our process of transmuting the consciousness here on Earth.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Letting go and moving forward: Saturn in Sagittarius and the Nodes of the Moon
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Supporting this process of completion and renewal is the alignment of Saturn in Sagittarius with the Nodes of the Moon. At an energetic level, the Nodes of the Moon relate to our personal karmic journey; the North Node represents the karmic lessons we came here to experience, learn from and integrate; the South Node represents the gifts and challenges we bring to this karmic journey. Together, the Lunar Nodes work to channel our awareness into directions that shift our perspective and support our evolutionary path.
As Saturn (representing emotional growth) is current connecting with the karmic Nodes, and have been for some time, much of our recent direction and experiences have felt like we are on a boat on the open waters, swaying from one side to another in the turbulent tides. This has caused us to experience feelings of extreme polarity — such as excitement followed by the complete absence of meaning, or determination followed by total dejection. While this phase is incredibly challenging, it offers us the opportunity to find an emotional ‘middle ground’ that both supports and reflects what is right for us in our own lives, and what is not, through the direct experience of contrast and extremes.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
A new response: Neptune in Pisces and Venus in Scorpio
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]As the undercurrent of our emotions (represented here by the Water signs of Pisces and Scorpio) rises up to the surface, we are currently being offered the opportunity to explore the energetic wounds we carry us due to the (unnatural) sense of separateness we have been conditioned to experience. This sense of separation (from each other and the cosmic whole) manifests as emotional barriers and defenses. However, with Neptune (in Pisces) being in harmonic connection with Venus (in Scorpio), this alignment offers us a rare opportunity to identify those areas in our lives where we still maintain emotional defenses and guards, and to respond with a new level of gentleness and openness. It is an invitation for healing. It beckons us to identify and break down both the conscious and unconscious defense mechanisms we carry within our psyche, which actually feed our feelings of separation and prevent our hearts from being fully present and active in each moment.
This is a vital next step for each of us. We cannot expect any change to manifest, or to create a world that is rooted in compassion and genuine connection if we ourselves are not able to evolve beyond the constraints of this self-fulfilling dynamic or separateness and self-protection. And this alignment is offering us an important opportunity to achieve this; to gain a deep awareness of the ingrained emotional guards and boundaries that continue to separate us, and to consciously respond with more softness and openness in every interaction and decision we make in our lives.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
The leap forward: The Sun, Mercury and Jupiter in Libra
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The Sun in Libra is current shifting our awareness toward a broader, more balanced perspective of the path our spiritual evolution is taking. From this perspective, a new pattern of thinking is being formed, supported by the alignment of Jupiter (intuitive awareness) and Mercury (logical awareness), both also in Libra. These two frequencies help us to begin ‘rewiring’ our thinking, integrating the left (logical) and right (intuitive) hemispheres of the brain. This integration is vital to our process of awakening.
In each moment and situation, we have both a challenge and a choice; to respond with a new open, integrated consciousness and see where that change leads us, or to experience the separation that still lingers within our psyche. But, if you find yourself still limited by feelings of separation, remember: there is nothing inherently good or bad to be found here. Embracing a new level of openness in our lives (however unfamiliar or uncomfortable it may initially feel) allows us to practice living from our intuitive/heart-center in a world that is heavily logic/mind-oriented; on the other hand, experiencing those lingering feelings of separation and emotional protectiveness offers us the opportunity to observe and gain insight into our current evolutionary journey, and to better appreciate the value of the openness and integration we are working to embrace.
Ultimately, both experiences have incredible value on our spiritual journey, and both ultimately support our transition into a higher, healing consciousness — if we allow them to.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2591″][vc_column_text]
Full Moon Message: The Winds of Change
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]As we seek to align ourselves with the universal flow, it can be helpful to understand how we have come to operate from the current frequency of the world – How the fears of the mind have come to govern our reality.
The mind is an amazing tool. Using that tool to explore the very experience of life itself is our human gift, and what sets us apart from the animal kingdom. Our evolution from primal instinct to conscious exploration is the basis for us moving out of survival consciousness and into a higher way of being. It is a vital step in our evolution, and indeed, our survival.
The evolutionary advancements humanity has made so far can all be traced back to our survival needs. Our intuition and instincts once served to keep us alive by giving us subtle messages in the moment to which we responded, but over time it was replaced with a growing mental awareness — which planned for our survival. But, as the mind developed, it soon overpowered the subtle frequency of our intuition.
As a direct manifestation of this development, humanity shifted from living in an intuitive state of harmony with nature and each other and operating from our inner authority in the moment (symbolized by the matriarchal era), to creating hierarchical structures that center around planning and therefore, externalizing authority and reducing our need to rely on intuition in each moment — which served to separate us from nature and create divisions among us (symbolized by the patriarchy).
The masculine era and the hierarchical structures it is associated with are often given a bad name; it has separated us from the very nature that connects us to each other, to earth and ultimately to ourselves. And yet, the paradox is that it is that very separation that has brought us here, to this level of physical advancement that will serve us in the next step in our evolution, which is not only to connect back to our intuitive essence but to advance beyond it; to explore the very nature of what it is to be alive in physical form while consciously knowing that we are mere expressions of the Source of all things. Like the boat in the open tide, humanity has come to a point where we may find the higher, middle ground, through the direct experience of polarity. And it is through this experience of polarity — from matriarchy to patriarchy, and from intuition to the mind — that we will come to integrate the two; to bring spirit and matter together as one.
Before we are able to live fully in this state, we must first reconnect to the subtle frequency of our intuition. We are at a point where allowing the mind to run the show on its own no longer serves our evolution. We are beyond that. The mind has brought us to a place where our needs for survival no longer need to take primary priority, ironically, unless we continue to operate from that mind-driven state (which is responsible for the separation from nature and systemic destruction we currently see in our world.) But devaluing the mind and returning to only a state of intuition is not the answer either…
When our intuition and our mind connect as one, what we experience is emotion. If our intuitive survival instincts are governed (overruled) by the mind, our emotions tend toward fear and duality — after all, the mind’s role in our survival is to plan ahead, perceiving (and attempting to mitigate) problems and threats before they happen. But when we learn to trust our intuition to guide us in the moment and use the mind as a creative, forward-thinking tool — as a means to explore consciousness and share insights — we begin to experience is the emotion of love and connectivity as our inner state of being.
In this journey of awakening, we are learning to live in a state of gentleness and flow. It is only our fear and pain — functions of the mind — that separate us from the very forces that would dissolve them. The inner calm that comes from connecting to our inner knowing and trusting in our intuitive, innate guidance creates an energetic expression that is gentle and adaptable, yet at the same time penetrating and powerful beyond what the mind could ever perceive.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator el_width=”30″][vc_column_text]“The moon does not fight. It attacks no one. It does not worry. It does not try to crush others. It keeps to its course, but by its very nature, it gently influences. What other body could pull an entire ocean from shore to shore? The moon is faithful to its nature and its power is never diminished.” ~ Ming-Dao Deng[/vc_column_text][vc_separator el_width=”30″][vc_column_text]The wind of change is blowing upon us. Ride the wind, and trust it to take you with it. Know that you are always where you are supposed to be. Watch and listen. Do not fear the storm, for it is your soul calling for you to reconnect; to live in a state that is beyond the limits of the mind; to transcend the polarity of spirit and matter, and live wholly in your body of awareness, with the mind and intuition integrated as one.
